Adjust the Settings for your Offline Messages.

1. Enabling Offline Messages

Navigate to Live Chat → Settings → Offline Messages.

Enable Offline Messages by choosing ‘yes‘ or ‘no‘.

2. Changing the Offline Form text Fields

Navigate to Live Chat → Settings → Offline Messages.

Offline Chat Box Title
This is the text that appears at the top of the Chat Box when all Support Agents are Offline.

Offline Text Fields
These are messages displayed to the visitor at various stages in the offline messaging process. Each can be changed as desired.

  • The first text box is the message displayed when chat/chat agents are offline.
  • The second text box is the message displayed as the message is being submitted.
  • The third text box is the message displayed after the offline message has been successfully submitted.

Offline Button Text
This is the text displayed in the button the visitor clicks to start an offline message. It can be changed as desired.

Offline Send Button Text
This is the text displayed in the button the visitor clicks to send the offline message. It can be changed as desired.

 


 

3. Adding Custom Fields to your Offline Form

 

You can use custom fields for your offline messaging if you have the free Contact Forms Ready plugin installed on your WordPress site.

Navigate to Live Chat → Settings → Offline Messages and scroll down to find Custom Fields.

If a form has been created with Contact Form Ready, you are able to choose it here (it will replace the default offline form).

4. Enabling an Auto-Responder

Navigate to Live Chat → Settings → Offline Messages.

Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the Auto Responder feature settings.

Enable an Auto-Responder
Check this box to enable the auto-responder function.

Auto-Responder ‘From’ Name
The FROM Name for the auto-responder email message. This defaults to the site name of your WordPress site.

Auto-Responder ‘From’ Address
The FROM email address for the auto-responder email message. This defaults to the admin email address for your WordPress site.

Auto-Responder Subject Line
The Subject for the auto-responder email message.

Auto Responder Body
The Body of the auto-responder email message. You can use HTML in the body of your message. You can also use the following replacement codes:

{wplc-user-name} – The Chat User’s name as entered on the Chat form.
{wplc-email-address} – The Chat User’s email address as entered on the Chat form.

 

After you have made all of your Settings changes, click the Save Settings button at the bottom of the page.
