Adjust the General Setting for your Live Chat box.

*Please note that some of these settings are only available in the Pro.

1. Enabling/Disabling the Live Chat

Navigate to Live Chat Settings General Settings.

Choose ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to enable the chat feature.

2. Changing the Default Chat Box Fields and Text

Navigate to Live Chat Settings General Settings.

Specify the required fields a customer must complete before starting a chat:

Set a default name for your visitor:

3. Enabling/Disabling the Live Chat on Mobile

Navigate to Live Chat Settings General Settings.

Check the Enable On Mobile Devices feature block.

4. Recording Visitor IP Address

Scroll down to find the Record IP Address feature block.

5. Enabling Sound Notifications

6. Font Awesome

Navigate to Live Chat Settings General Settings.

Scroll down to find and enable the Font Awesome feature.

7. Enabling Notifications on all Admin Pages

To open your Chat Dashboard from any page within your WordPress Admin area and receive notifications of chats and message there as well, navigate to Live Chat Settings → General Settings.

Scroll down to find and enable this feature.

8. Enabling/Disabling “Choose When Online” Toggle

To enable or disable the status toggle found on the dashboard:

You would need to navigate to Live Chat Settings → General Settings to check Choose when I want to be online.

9. Including/Excluding the Live Chat on Certain Pages

The Live Chat can either be included on certain pages, OR excluded on certain pages. These fields cannot be used in conjunction.

Navigate to Live Chat Settings → General Settings and enter the page ID on which the chat must be included OR excluded, in the applicable field:

You are also given the option to exclude the chat on your home page, archive pages, or selected posts, by checking the relevant boxes.

10. Enabling Google Analytics Integration

To enable Google Analytics tracking for your Live Chat, navigate to Live Chat Settings → General Settings and scroll down to find Google Analytics Integration.

11. Opening the Chat by Click/Hover on an Element

Navigate to Live Chat Settings General Settings.

Scroll down until you see the Advanced Settings section and enable the chat window via:

You can open the chat window using either a Click or Hover action.

Select either from the first drop-down list. Then select either Class or ID from the second drop-down list. You’ll need to use the appropriate selector when creating the CSS for your button or link.

Enter the name of the Class or ID you want to use to open the chat box in the text box below the drop-down lists. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Save Settings button.

 


 

12. Disabling the “Initiate Chat” Feature

Navigate to Live Chat Settings General Settings.

Scroll to the bottom of the page to find and enable this feature.

13. Quick Responses Settings

Navigate to Live Chat → Settings → General Settings.

At the very bottom of the page, you will see the Quick Response settings area.

From here, you can order your Quick Responses by order, date or number and choose to list them in an ascending or descending order.
