Chat Box Settings

Adjust the Chat Box Settings for your Live Chat box.

*Please note that some of these settings are only available in the Pro Version.

1. Chat Box Alignment

Navigate to Live Chat Settings → Chat Box.

Set your chat box to display left, right, bottom left or bottom right from the drop-down menu.

2. Selecting Chat Box Details

Navigate to Live Chat Settings → Chat Box.

From here, you can choose to have your chat box pop-up automatically and control whether details such as Name, Avatar, Time or Date must show.

3. Redirect user to a Thank You Page

Navigate to Live Chat Settings → Chat Box.

Enable this feature and enter your preferred URL to where the user must be directed after a chat has been ended.

4. Enabling Typing Indicator

Navigate to Live Chat Settings → Chat Box.

Scroll down to find an enable this feature block.

5. Setting the Agent Name

Navigate to Live Chat Settings → Chat Box.

In the Name field, enter the name you would like your chat agents to have. Or alternatively, set their WordPress names to be used instead.

6. Choosing Chat and Message Ringtone

Navigate to Live Chat Settings Chat Box.

Choose a chat and message ring tone from the provided drop-down list.

7. Changing the Live Chat Images

Navigate to Live Chat Settings Chat Box.

 

Icon

Scroll down to Icon.

  • Click the Upload Image button and use the Media Library to upload or select your desired Icon.
  • The recommended size is 50px x 50px.
  • When your logo has been uploaded or selected and you’ve made any desired changes to the Media Library settings, click the Use as Logo button.
  • Click the Save Settings button at the bottom of the page

Profile Picture

Scroll down to Picture.

  • Click the Upload Image button and use the Media Library to upload or select your desired profile picture.
  • The recommended size is 60px x 60px.
  • When your picture has been uploaded or selected and you’ve made any desired changes to the Media Library settings, click the Use as Profile Pic button.
  • Click the Save Settings button at the bottom of the page.

Logo

Scroll down to Logo.

  • Click the Upload Image button and use the Media Library to upload or select your desired logo.
  • The recommended size is 250px x 40px.
  • When your logo has been uploaded or selected and you’ve made any desired changes to the Media Library settings, click the Use as Logo button.
  • Click the Save Settings button at the bottom of the page

8. Setting a Chat Delay

Navigate to Live Chat Settings Chat Box.

Enter the number of seconds you would like the chat box to be delayed, before showing up on your website.

9. Enabling Email Notifications

Navigate to Live Chat Settings Chat Box.

Scroll down to find and enable Chat notifications.

10. User Experience Settings

Navigate to Live Chat Settings → Chat Box.

Scroll to the bottom of the page to find User Experience.

From here, you can enable the Text Editor, File Sharing and start to record Experience Ratings.

 


 

11. Adding Social Links to your Chat Box

Navigate to Live Chat Settings → Chat Box.

Scroll to the bottom of the page to find Social.

Here, you may insert your Facebook profile and Twitter Page links.
