Agent Settings

Adjust the Agent Settings for your Live Chat box.

*Please note that some of these settings are only available in the Pro.

1. Choosing the Default Chat Agent

Your site’s administrator will be set to the default agent.

 


 

2. Adding Multiple Chat Agents

Making a User a Chat Agent Using WPLC Settings

Navigate to Live Chat  Settings → Agents.

All Users with a role above Author (and not already designated as a Chat Agent) will be displayed in the drop-down list below ADD NEW AGENT.

Select the User you want to designate as a Chat Agent. Click the Add Agent button.

Then click the Save Settings button at the bottom of the page.

 

Making a User a Chat Agent Using User Profile Settings

Navigate to your WordPress Dashboard → Users → All Users.

Click the Edit link below the name of the User you want to designate as a Chat Agent. Note that you must create the User before you can designate them as a Chat Agent

On the Edit User page, scroll down to the bottom of the Profile and click in the checkbox next to Make this user a chat agent. Then click the Update User button.
