This article covers installing and activating the Basic Version of WP Live Chat Support.
The basic version of WP Live Chat Support is installed in the standard manner for WordPress plugins. First, you will need to search for the plugin by going to your WordPress Dashboard → Plugins → Add New. Type WP Live Chat Support in the search box. A list of applicable plugins will appear automatically.
Click the Install Now button to install WP Live Chat Support from the WordPress Repository. After the plugin is installed, the page will refresh and you’ll see the screen below.
Click the Activate button to activate WP Live Chat Support.
WP Live Chat Support is configured to operate as expected on your site, once activated. You do not need to make any changes to the settings. The plugin does, however, require that the Chat Dashboard is open in one of your browser tabs, in order to receive chats.
Your site’s administrator will be set to the default agent. To change this, please consult this article.
Navigating to Live Chat → Settings allows you to play around with the default functionality of the chat.
