1. Installing the PayWall extension

2. Setup and use of the PayWall extension

Navigate to  Live Chat → Settings → Paywall.

Click in the checkbox to the right of Enable Paywall to enable the paywall.

1. Stripe Settings

If you are going to use Stripe with your Chat, you will need a Public (Publishable) and a Secret key.

Click on the link below each text box to retrieve these keys from your Stripe account. If you want to use Test keys to test the paywall functionality, click the View Test Data link in the left sidebar. It will change color and the text will change to View Live Data.

Highlight and copy the Publishable key then return to your website and paste the Publishable key into the Stripe Public Key text box.

Return to Stripe and click the Reveal ??? key token button to reveal the Secret key.

(Note: the button will say ‘Reveal test key token’ if you are copying a Test key and ‘Reveal live key token if you are copying a Live key.)

You will have to re-authenticate on Stripe to reveal your Secret key. Highlight and copy the Secret key then return to your website and paste the Secret key into the Stripe Secret Key text box.

2. Paypal Settings

If you are going to use PayPal with your Chat you just need the PayPal Email Address for your PayPal account. Type the address into the PayPal Recipient Email Address textbox.

If you want to enable PayPal SandBox Mode click the checkbox to the right of PayPal – Enable Sandbox Mode.

Note: You cannot use both Stripe and PayPal at the same time. Choose one or the other.

 


 

3. Additional Paywall Settings

Notification Email

Enter a valid email address into the Notification Email textbox. This is the address at which you will be notified that someone has paid for a chat session.

Button text

Enter the message you want to be displayed to inform visitors that paid chat is available.

Cost per chat

Enter the cost per paid chat session.

Currency

Enter the desired currency for paid chat sessions. Click the here link for a list of supported currencies.

Payment Image URI

Enter a link to an image to use. This image should be 128px by 128px in size.

Access period

Enter the number of days visitors are allowed to access chat once payment has been processed.

Click the Save Settings button to save your Settings.
